Thank you for your interest in Core. Core is a progressive raiding guild on World of Warcraft's realm of Greymane. The guild is based on an ambitious atmosphere, where members work together to create a helpful, respectful and fun environment.

We schedule raids at 7:30pm cst (assembly begins at 7:15pm cst) and ending at 11pm cst, Mon, Tues and Wed. and expect members to maintain 80% (average 2.5 nights a week) raid attendance. If you can't commit to our schedule or attendance requirements, please do not apply for a raider position.


We appreciate the time you take to fill out the application. Please fill it out completely and honestly. Applications that are incomplete, that contain inconsistent information or are sloppy mean that you do not take the application seriously. We won't either. This is your first impression. Make it count.

An officer will be in contact with you (or respond to your post) within two days after you have submitted your app.

Because Core is a MoP raiding guild, we do not accept initiates lower than level 90.

Core requires a raider to have Ventrilo and the mods: Omen/Diamond threat meter as well as Deadly Boss Mods/BigWigs. Core requires a raider to use appropriate pots/flasks/elixirs while raiding (food is provided) and the use of the appropriate enchants/gems on raiding gear. If you cannot install and/or use these minimum requirements, please do not apply.

To be ready to raid with Core, applicants will have:
-- Ability to be prepared for fights. This includes awareness of strats and bringing consumables and flasks, being fully gemmed and enchanted.
--Ability to blend into Core and not expect Core to blend into you.
-- Positive non-disruptive attitude.
-- Prior raid experience

Applicants who completely and competently answer ALL questions will have a greater chance of being invited as an initiate.

GUILD INFO:
--Past guilds/realms and reasons for leaving:

Ruined of Proudmoore(Vanilla/BC) - Ruined went into a hiatus after Sunwell, and I still had the desire to keep playing. I left on good terms. I was a raiding shadow priest throughout my time with them.

Ni Hao of Cenarius(WotLK/Early Cata) - I was the raid leader of this guild, and after about 8 months of grinding the same heroic bosses over and over, we discontinued raiding. Interests splintered between League of Legends, Starcraft II, and multiple other games. Recruitment horde-side on Cenarius is near impossible, so the guild was let go. We made an attempt in early Cata, but lack of recruitment was in the end our downfall.

Stormforged of Alleria(Mid/Late Cata and MoP) - I took the remaining people that desired raiding to alliance on Alleria and reformed a raiding guild. We were successful in Firelands and Dragon Soul, but as MoP raiding took full swing 3 of my core raiders became unable to raid. My time commitment to the game dwindled and I couldn't shoulder the responsibility of being a leader any longer. We dissolved the guild and went our separate ways.

--What are you looking for in a guild: I am looking for stability. I've tried to lead my own, and though I could get one to last an entire expansion, it never seemed to carry over to the next so I had to start over. I'm hoping for a friendly environment, but with enough focus and determination to down challenging content.

--Why do you want to join Core and what do you expect from us: From the information provided on your website and through posts on the WoW forums, I get the vibe of a focused environment but still with emphasis on fun. I've tried the hardcore raiding scene, and it just wasn't my style. Getting screamed at for 3 hours left me with some bad juju about coming back the next day. In the same breath, you guys don't come across as an ultra-casual guild that's content with downing LFR content. It strikes a happy medium where content goes down but doesn't destroy my will to play the game. In the end, I want this to be a game and a group I enjoy interacting with. Aside from the desire to down content, a group of good people can make wipes a lot more fun, and in the end that's what I expect from a guild.

--What value-add will you provide to Core and to Core's raid team?: I come with a large amount of raiding leadership and experience. I'm highly diversified in my raiding style. In previous guilds, with recruitment issues, I would fill positions just to make sure we could raid. I come with two other raid-geared characters that fulfill a variety of roles if needed. I do have a mage that is "raid-ready(464)", a tank/ww monk that is normal geared(485), and this paladin I'm applying with. I'm willing to do whatever is needed to make the raid that much better.
