Core Attendance Policy

While this is not a hard-core raiding guild, we do strive to be a successful progression guild. To be a successful progression raiding guild, we have to maintain a certain degree of professionalism and accountability from our team.

One of the degrees of accountability we insist on maintaining is raider attendance and dependability. Lack of attendance will require raider notification of absences. This notification will be accepted ONLY by forum posts.

The procedure is as follows:

When a raider knows they cannot attend a scheduled raid they will be expected to make a post in the forum titled “Raid Attendance” no later than 7:30pm the night of the raid to let the team (and officers) know they will be absent or late. This will not necessarily allow the officers to find replacements, but it WILL prevent us from having the raid sit in Throne for 30-45 min while we wait for raiders to log in who didn’t notify us that they would not be logging in at all.

Repercussions and Restitution:

After non-attendance and failing to post 3 times ON THE WEBSITE in the forum RAID ATTENDANCE BY 7:30 pm of the raid night will result in the raider being moved to a rank known as Bullpen. This rank carries no attendance requirement, has no raid invite rights, and has a cap on accumulated dkp and carries Initiate loot status. The dkp will be reduced to the cap of 240 if greater than that when the demotion in rank occurs. In order to receive raider rank back, one must request it from an officer and be able to maintain an 80% attendance. Over-capped DKP will not be restored. Once again, he/she will be expected to post in the forum if a raid will be missed. If one fails to post an upcoming absence, he/she will return to the Bullpen rank

Allowable Exceptions:

(1) If you are unable to post you can have a friend/family member post for you.

(2) If you have an emergency which prevents you or a friend or a family member from posting notification of your impending absences for 3 occurrences, the officer team will consider the facts once they are known and will rescind your 3 Strikes You're Out mark or your demotion, if warranted.

You will be notified via mail upon each breach of the notification requirement. Once it’s happened 3 times you will be in the Bullpen rank. It's not up for discussion. You will be responsible for notifying the GM or an Officer of intent to resume 80% attendance and thus and Raider rank.

All "strikes" will be removed from a raider's record once they have a "clean" period of 8 calendar weeks (generally 24 raids) with no failures to notice.

To sum this up:

(1) If you have to miss a scheduled raid, post (or have someone post for you) in the Raid Attendance Forum no later than 7:30 the night of the raid you will be missing that you will be absent (or late).

(2) 3 strikes you’re out policy will be maintained – fail to post 3 times when you miss you will lose your raider rank and thus loot privileges. These privileges will be reinstated once the 80% attendance can be maintained. Or if the officer team becomes aware of an emergency situation which prevented prior notification.

(3) In order to obtain a clean notification slate, a raider will maintain a period of 8 calendar weeks (approx. 24 raids) with 0 failures to notify. This 8 week period of compliance will remove all accumulated strikes against the raider's name.
